Upon the initiative of the Russian side, President of Russia Vladimir Putin had a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani today, Kremlin press-service reports.

Key aspects of the Russian-Iranian cooperation, including the results of the November 12 session of the Standing Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation, were discussed, the statement reads.   

The Presidents agreed to continue the dialogue on vital issue on the bilateral and international agenda during Putin’s visit to Tehran on November 23 in the framework of the 3rd Summit of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
