The August 31 incident in the line of contact between Azerbaijani and NKR armed forces was unnecessary, Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk told APA news agency.

Kasprzyk also noted that he had met with servicemen in Yerevan, Baku and Karabakh. “I am aware of what happened on the line of contact, but it is not in my competence to carry out investigation,” the source quotes the OSCE official. According to him, the reports are controversial.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, on August 31 the Azerbaijani side tried to commit another act of sabotage on the contact line between the Azeri and Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces near Verin Chailu.

The Armenian soldiers spotted Azeri soldiers and threw them back, causing losses to the enemy.

The soldier Rudik Manaseryan was injured in the skirmish.
