President Serzh Sargsyan’s statement is intended for the Armenian public, Elhan Poluhov, Spokesman of the Azerbaijani foreign office, stated commenting on the Armenian leader’s statement that international recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh is the only peaceful settlement of the conflict.

According to the Azeri official, the Armenian authorities’ destructive policy is heightening regional tension. “Instead of preparing the Armenian public for inevitable peace and co-existence of the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities in Nagorno-Karabakh, following the principle of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, Armenian political figures are even more deceiving Armenian ordinary citizens by giving them promises never to be fulfilled,” he said.

As regards a military way, it has already been passed and the results are obvious. “With your everyday creative labor and shield of defense you prove you have treasured up in your memory our killed companions-in-arms,” says the message.
