YEREVAN. - The whole world must struggle against terror attacks, ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction secretary Gagik Melikyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent, referring to the range of terror attacks in Paris late yesterday.
“This is a universal tragedy against which the whole world must struggle. I’m sorry for everyone. This is a chance for the international community to unify in the common struggle. I think the struggle to terrorism must be raised to the highest level,” Melikyan said.
According to Armenia’s Heritage faction MP Zaruhi Postanjyan, the struggle against terrorism can be successful only in case of unified struggle.
“I offer my condolences and share their pain. I think the unified struggle is effective. Thus, the unified struggle is what is needed,” Postanjyan said.
In words of Naira Zohrabyan, leader of Prosperous Armenia party, terror attacks in the world are obtaining more violent signature.
“While ago we laid flowers in front of the French Embassy [in Armenia] and lit candles to pay tribute to the victims killed as a result of the terror attack, which was unprecedented in the history of France. I think we must unite in the struggle against terrorism in order to struggle against this universal disaster, which is gradually acquiring more violent signature,” Zohrabyan said.
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, PM Hovik Abrahamyan, Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan, FM Edward Nalbandian and Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan condemned the terror attacks in Paris.
Simultaneous terrorist attacks occurred Friday evening in six different parts of the French capital city.
The attacks claimed over 150 lives and injured numerous people.
