Those injured in the bus crash in Russia’s Tula and the families of the dead passengers will start getting compensations this week, First Deputy Minister or Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.  

According to him, the process of compensation payment will start when the government decision enters into force.   

50 million AMD will be allocated from the government’s reserve fund for providing state support to the families of those injured and killed in the bus crash. The families of the killed passengers will receive 1,5 million AMD. 14 passengers continuing their treatment in Armenian and Russian hospitals will get 700,000 AMD, 500,000 AMD being provided to the rest of the passengers.  

Nine people were killed and several dozen others were injured as a passenger bus, which was traveling from Moscow to Yerevan, crashed on November 3, in Tula Oblast (province) in Russia. The driver, Garnik Harutyunyan, was arrested.
