The dynamics of the physical volume of production of Armenia’s leading economic sectors had an unstable character during the months of the current year. The greatest growth in industry was recorded in August (12.4%), while the greatest fall was in January (2.3%) and July (1.2%).

Gross agricultural production yielded better results. The highest growth rate was recorded in June (by 38%), the worst indicator being in January (“merely” by 1.8%).  According to the official statistics, the dynamics of the gross agricultural production was characterized only by the sign “plus” during the months of the current year. That is, no fall was observed in contrast to the industry.

In the period from August to October, the agriculture outran industry according to its production volume. This was due to the harvest season of vegetables and fruit, and specifically grapes.

However, industry is on the lead according to the data of ten months: the volume of production is over 1,06 trn AMD against 0,86 trn AMD in agriculture. Exactly opposite situation is in the growth increment: 4.6% against 11.6%.  

These figures are apparently not an end in themselves. If they fully correspond to reality, this can be considered as a big achievement.
