A Ukrainian-Armenian business forum has been opened in Kiev, Ukraine, today, September 6.
The Armenian delegation consists of representatives of 15 companies operating in machine-construction, high technologies, consumer commodity sectors, as well as ones specializing in export and import. Analitika.at.ua. reports that the Armenian and Ukrainian Chambers of Commerce and Industry will sign a cooperation agreement.
The first Armenian-Ukrainian business forum was held in Yerevan in June 1998.
The RA Statistical Service reports Armenian-Ukrainian trade turnover reached U.S. $96.7m in the first half of 2010 – an annual increase of 52.5%. It is 5.4% of Armenia’s total foreign trade turnover. The unfavorable balance of Armenian-Ukrainian trade reached U.S. 87.1m – a 56.3% increase.
