YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Transport and Communication of Armenia and Sinohydro Corporation of China  have signed a bilateral agreement on the implementation of works.

Accordingly, the Chinese company will construct the 27.5km Lanjik-Gyumri section of Armenia’s North-South Road Corridor, informed the news service of the ministry.

This section will be constructed through the European Investment Bank loan, European Union grant, and Armenia’s co-funding.

Pursuant to the agreement, construction will start in March 2016, and this road section is planned to be completed in three years.
