ETCHMIADZIN. – Armenia-Greece military cooperation will contribute to strengthening of the two armies.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Thursday stated the abovementioned at his talk with the visiting Minister of National Defence of Greece, Panagiotis “Panos” Kammenos.

Information Services if the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the Catholicos welcomed the cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries.

Karekin II also reflected on the difficulties that befell the Armenian and Greek peoples throughout history, and their present-day challenges.

At the ensuing talk, the Catholicos spoke about the warm relations between the Mother See and the Greek embassy in Armenia.

Kammenos, for his part, especially reflected on the historical past of the two nations, and the close cooperation between the two countries.

The Catholicos of All Armenians and the Greek Minister of National Defence also discussed the warm relations between the Armenian Apostolic and the Greek Orthodox Churches. 

In addition, Karekin II presented the activities of the spiritual guidance at the Armenian Armed Forces.
