Mother of the Armenian victim Eduard Margaryan, killed in a scuffle at Moscow N 501 School reported details of the deadly incident. According to her, the conflict between the Armenian and Azerbaijani students broke out because of a pair of shoes, Life News reports.

Edik’s mother Alla Margaryan said her son went to school without special footwear. Asked by a first-grader why he had not worn shoes, Edik replied he had been studying at that school for 11 years and was allowed not to wear it. Mamed, who had been studying at №501 School for a year, came up to him, saying he is the chief at the school.

According to Edik’s mother, this was the reason the conflict ended in a tragedy.

The eyewitnesses say the conflict between the students broke out in the morning. One pushed the other and both decided to have it out after the classes. The woman said both boys had small knives, but none of them managed to use it. First they were pushing and shooting at each other, then Mamed hit Edik in the face and the latter fell on the ground. Mamed sat on him and at that moment Margaryan had convulsions.

According to preliminary medical examination, Margaryan died from acute cardiovascular insufficiency.
