According to reliable information at the Zhamanak newspaper’s disposal, Speaker of the RA Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan purchased a kindergarten at 104 Nalbandian Street. The kindergarten belongs to the RA police Department.

“However, Mr. Abrahamyan was not content with this. The RA Government declared the area at the junction of Tumanyan, Nalbandian, Avag Petrosyan streets and Sayat-Nova Avenue in Yerevan an area of public interests for it to be placed at Mr. Adrahamyan’s disposal,” the newspaper writes.

According to the source, the area belonged to the vice-premier Armen Gevorgyan and RA Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan. Gevorgyan’s wife was director of the kindergarten. The couple played a serious role in the deal. For his position on March 1, 2008, Armen Harutyunyan remained outside the deal. At present, Speaker Abrahamyan is a prospective purchaser, with the RA Government, Yerevan Mayor Gagik Belgaryan and RA Police helping him and sharing in the deal. The RA Police played a special role in the deal.
