YEREVAN. - Coming removal of sanctionsagainst Iran is important for Armenia, this opening new way of cooperation. Armenia’s Minister of Energy Yervand Zakharyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am at a briefing held in the framework of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission session in Yerevan.
“We can do a lot with the Iranian side. My Iranian colleague is of the same opinion. And this means we must invigorate the ties. Joint ventures in agriculture, as well as construction and healthcare [spheres] are needed,” Zakharyan said.
For his part, Iran’s Energy Minister and Commission Co-Chair Hamid Chitchian stressed the historically friendly ties between Iran and Armenia. According to him, the economic ties between the two countries are developing in the spheres of energy, agriculture and trade. “I’m sure we have solid grounds for the further cooperation,” Chitchyan said.
