YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia, at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting, did not decide on moving the working day on January 8 to a later date.

A tradition was formed in the country over the past years, as the residents were given a New Year and Armenian Christmas—which is observed on January 6—vacation until January 10 or 11.

And thus, the people of Armenia will have eight days for the New Year and Armenian Christmas celebrations in 2016. 

The government representatives informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the Cabinet may convene another meeting by the year’s end, to clarify the situation with respect to summer holidays.
