A district court in Azerbaijan sentenced Fuad Ahmedli to ten days of administrative detention, reported Azadlıq newspaper of the country.

Ahmedli is a member of the Youth Committee of the opposition Azerbaijani National Front Party. 

The opposition member was arrested on charges of resisting to the police, reported Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan.

According to available information, police officers had detained him on Friday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Ahmedli was called to the police department for a talk, and he was warned about his statuses on the social networking sites.

After the court ruling, Fuad Ahmedli was taken to the penitentiary where the administrative detention convicts serve their sentences.
