YEREVAN. - Motorways on the territory of Armenia are mainly passable today as of 8 am.

The Berd-Chambarak, Hatis-Zovashen and Hartagyugh-Khnkoyan motorways, as well as Vardenyats (Selim) Pass are closed for traffic, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations (MTAES) informed.  

Sotk-Karvachar, Sevan-Gavar-Martuni, Vayk-Goris motorways are difficult to pass.

There is black ice on some motorways.

The ministry advises drivers to travel on the aforementioned motorways only in case of absolute necessity and with winter tires.

According to the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Internal Affairs Ministry, Stepantsminda-Lars motorway is closed for trucks, but open for passenger cars equipped with snow chains.
