Five policemen and three demonstrators were injured during the protests in Siyazan, Azerbaijan—and against the price hikes—, and which turned into riots.
The local police department informed the aforesaid to Haqqin.az news agency of the country.
A total of 55 protesters were detained during the police operation to restore public order.
The detainees are aged between 18 and 45, and most of them are unemployed.
The situation has now stabilized in the city.
