YEREVAN. – At present, there are no major global projects on the Armenian-Iranian agenda.

Executive director of  the “Armenian Centre for Society Research” Fund, Iranian Studies specialist Sevak Sarukhanyan, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, however, there is a real possibility in terms of infrastructure development; this is the North-South Road Corridor, which has a direct relation with Iran.

“The road is being constructed in Armenia’s territory and without Iranian funding,” Sarukhanyan added. “But the road will considerably ease bilateral goods turnover and cargo transport.”
