YEREVAN. – The nuclear power plant of Armenia produced 13.1 percent more electrical energy in 2015, as compared to the previous year.
The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yervand Zakharyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Thursday, as he summed up the results for the year past.
As per the minister, overall, 0.62 percent more electricity was produced in the country last year, as compared to 2014.
But the thermal power plants’ electricity production decreased by 14.8 percent.
The electrical energy production of Armenia’s hydropower plants, however, increased by 10 percent in 2015, as compared to the previous years.
