YEREVAN. – Not solely small businesses could come to Armenia from Iran.

President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, Arsen Ghazaryan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. 

As per Ghazaryan, large Iranian businesses likewise may be interested in Armenia as a gateway to the Eurasian Economic Union, with its huge market.

“I believe Iranian businessmen are interested in such an option,” he said. “Especially since Iran already has a tradition of business relations with Armenia, and they know there [in Iran] that you can trust Armenia’s laws and business partners, likewise.”

According to the economist, Iran will probably begin to gradually liberalize its market, which means it will allow Armenian exporters to also expand their presence in Iran.

“This may not happen tomorrow, but after a while,” Arsen Ghazaryan added. “But it can be awaited.”
