The workers of the Investigation Service of the Georgian Minister of Finance have detained Armenian citizen Vahan Tadevosyan on charges of illegally importing a large number of golden items to the country.

The investigation found out that the accused imported a large number of golden jewelry to the territory of Georgia in a specially equipped secret compartment of his car, Georgia On-Line reports.  

Criminal case has been launched under Article 214 of the Georgian Criminal Code, which provides 3-5 years of imprisonments.
