YEREVAN. - After the tragic incident with Permyakov (the murder of the Avstisyan family in Gyumri city of Armenia), lots of efforts were needed to maintain warm relations between the Russian military base servicemen and their families and the local population.

Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated the aforementioned at a press-conference today.

Responding to the question on the replenishment of arms and technology at the Russian military base, Ohanyan noted that the Russian side carries out serious work on raising the level of its bases, including that in Armenia.  

The process of technology and armament equipment is underway. This has been recently carried out through the deployment of the Air Forces, the Minister said.
