YEREVAN. – The office of First President of Armenia of the Republic of Armenia (RA) Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who is also Founding Chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress Party, issued a statement.

“On [Tuesday,] January 26 of this year, Levon Ter-Petrosyan underwent a post-[cancer]operative examination at Glendale Memorial Hospital [and Health Center in the US State of California], by Doctors Petar Vukasin and Kalust Ucar, who treated him” the statement reads. “They expressed their satisfaction with the course of Ter-Petrosyan’s recovery, and assured that there no risk to the RA First President’s life and ability to work for the next 20 years.

“Ter-Petrosyan is preparing to return to [Armenia’s capital city of] Yerevan in 2-3 weeks.”
