YEREVAN. – It cannot be ruled out that Azerbaijan, which faces social problems, would exacerbate the situation on the border.

Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Gagik Minasyan noted the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday, and he urged to be more vigilant.

“Unrest has risen in Azerbaijan; the Azerbaijanis are raising not only social issues, but also national,” he said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the Azerbaijani side exacerbates conflicts on the border.”

In the RPA deputy’s words, aside from the oil-related issues, Azerbaijan has strained relations with the US, and this situation causes problems for them.

“The political opportunities of Azerbaijan may reduce in the future,” Minasyan added.
