YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday received the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Ambassador Herbert Salber.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the interlocutors discussed the ongoing talks toward resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Nalbandian briefed Salber on the results of the meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which were held in December 2015 in the Swiss capital city of Bern.
Herbert Salber, for his part, reaffirmed the support of the EU to the efforts of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, and aimed at an exclusively peaceful settlement of this matter.
Also, the parties reflected on Armenia-EU cooperation, and exchanged views on the results of the recent 16th meeting of EU-Armenia Cooperation Council.
In addition, Armenia’s Foreign Minister and the EU Special Representative touched upon the developments unfolding in the countries and regions contiguous to the South Caucasus.
