The meeting of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his French counterpart Francois Hollande in Paris has failed. This is due to the refusal of the Iranian leader to have a joint lunch, since the French side had for its part refused to leave the wine off the table and serve halal meat, Telegraph reports.

The French representatives offered the Iranian delegation to hold the meeting of the leaders during breakfast, however the Iranian siderefused to meet in such a format, calling it “too cheap,” Gazeta reports.

This is the second day the Iranian delegation has paid an official visit to Paris.
