Iran plans to purchase weapons totaling $8 billion from Russia, Kommersant daily newspaper of Russia reported citing its sources in the military technology domain.

According to the newspaper, Tehran has already submitted to Moscow a list of the military equipment and armament it wishes to have.

The list includes aircrafts, helicopters, missiles, ships, and submarines

Iran’s lack of financial resources and the UN Security Council restrictions, however, may prevent the carrying out of this arms deal.
