YEREVAN. – The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Karen Chshmarityan, on Tuesday received a delegation from the Moody’s bond credit rating business.

The Ministry of Economy informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the main agenda of this talk included Armenia’s macroeconomic situation in the year past, economic development and growth expectations for the coming midterm, and the  main domestic and external challenges of the country.

It was noted that Armenia closed off 2015 with economic results better than the very modest projections, which several international partner organizations had made in the beginning of last year.  

Also, the interlocutors discussed the potential impact of Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) accession and the Russian economy on Armenia’s economic development. In this connection, Chshmarityan noted that along with the country’s accession to the EEU, the foundations for cooperation in other formats are being laid with success.
