YEREVAN. – Armenia needs to import cheap raw materials from the countries where high inflation is observed.

“Alternative” Research Center Director, economist Tatul Manaseryan, noted the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, this would be a major assistance to Armenia’s local processing industry, and this assistance can and should be complemented with state subsidies.

The 2015 inflation rate in Kazakhstan, Russia and Armenia was 13.6,  12.9 and 3.7 percent, respectively.
