YEREVAN. – Armenia will shift from the quantity to the quality of small and medium-sized business enterprises.

Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan, who is also the Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms of Armenia, stated the aforesaid during a conference devoted to a favorable climate for sustainable business in the country, and which is convened Thursday in capital city Yerevan.

He recalled that the Armenian government has adopted the 2016-2018 strategy for small and medium-sized business development.

In the case when this development was focused on helping in the opening of businesses in Armenia and on the accessibility of resources before, now the work quality of these businesses and the accessibility to knowledge and technology are underscored.

“Also, it’s very important to contribute to the competitive climate and the accessibility of financial means,” Gabrielyan added. “In this matter, we [i.e. Armenia] still have things to collaborate with our international donors.”
