YEREVAN. - Now the plants won’t have to throw away the grape pomace.

Armenia’s Agriculture Deputy Minister Grisha Bagiyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent, commenting on the draft changes to the Law on State Duty, which will lower the duty on grape vodka distillation from 15 mln AMD to 50,000 AMD.

“Due to the very large duty, small wine-growers couldn’t use grape husks and other remains of the production. Now everything is different. This will allow to not only reduce the pomace, but also attract new sorts, which the farmers couldn’t sell before,” he stated.
