YEREVAN. – Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan, who is in India on an official visit, on Monday attended an Armenian wine-tasting event that was held at the Armenian Embassy in New Delhi. 

The Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia informed Armenian News NEWS.am that more than two dozen Armenian wines were introduced at the event.

In his remarks, Karapetyan briefed on Armenian winemaking, and the current state of wine production in Armenia.

Also, the minister invited those in attendance to visit Armenia to get familiarized with Armenian winemaking on location.

At the same time, Karapetyan expressed readiness to assist Indian importers as much as possible in establishing cooperation with their Armenian associates.  

The representatives of several Indian wineries, for their part, informed that they will visit Armenia soon.

Along the lines of his official visit to India, Sergo Karapetyan met also with representatives of the Indian Armenian community.
