YEREVAN. - The parliamentary majority didn’t put any conditions before the Armenian Ombudsman candidate Arman Tatoyan when nominating him as such.

Tatoyan, who is currently the Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia, stated the aforementioned in the National Assembly today, introducing his work plan and responding to the question of MP Nikol Pashinyan.

He learnt about the decision to nominate him as an Ombudsman candidate from the head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction Vahram Baghdasaryan.

“The faction most probably made this decision considering my work history and activity.  But there was no mention of any agreement. I must be free in fulfilling my obligations if appointed [in that post],” Tatoyan said.
