YEREVAN. - Under the new Electoral Code, observers and proxies shall be given more powers during the elections.

“Prosperous Armenia” faction secretary Vahe Enfiajyan said the aforementioned in the parliament today.  

According to him, this will raise the confidence towards the future Electoral Code, something that the document strongly needs.

“We regret to say that each electoral process is ensued by different discrediting statements, as well as assessments of international organizations. And we must adopt an Electoral Code which will guarantee against the falsifications already seen by us,” Enfiajyan said.

“Prosperous Armenia” has already set up a working group which will come up with its proposals, he added.
