The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has made a scandalous statement.

The Turkish president defended the al-Nusra Front terrorist group, which is known for its atrocities in Syria, reported Gazeteport news website of Turkey.

“Al-Nusra is fighting against the Islamic State,” Erdoğan said. “Why do you call it a bad faction?”

This statement by President Erdoğan, however, was not noted in the Turkish pro-government media.
