The Iranian authorities have for the fourth time extended the voting time during the elections for parliament (Majlis) and the Assembly of Experts due to the large number of voters.
The authorities have already thrice extended the election time all over the country: last time it was decided to stop the elections at 10:00 pm local time (10:30 pm Yerevan time).
''Because of the high voter turnout, the voting time in Tehran province was extended by one hour, till 11:00 pm (11:30 Yerevan time),'' the statement of a local TV channel says, RIA Novosti reports.
During the elections, nearly 5,000 candidates will vie for the 290 seats in the Iranian Parliament.
As reported earlier, eight Armenians will also contend for parliamentary seats in Iran.
The said Iranian Armenian MP nominees are Karen Khanlarian, Ivet Danielian, Albert Poghosian, Arbi Tahmazian, Andranik Simonian, Zhorzhik Abrahmanian, Vrezh Ter-Martirosian, and Armond Baghramian.
