YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday received heads of the delegations from the countries participating in the international ministerial conference on public health, and which capital city Yerevan is hosting on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The President underscored this event, noted that public health is a key factor in national security, and added that public health challenges do not recognize borders. In his conviction, this and similar matters can effectively be resolved solely through close cooperation.

The guests, for their part, noted that there is a wide array of cooperation in and great unrealized opportunities for public health. They stated that quite interesting presentations are delivered in the ongoing Yerevan conference. 

As per the visiting health ministers from several countries, this partnership format will significantly  contribute to the strengthening of relations and cooperation among the persons in charge of the respective domain, and to the development of health care.
