YEREVAN. – At Thursday’s Cabinet session, the Government of Armenia adopted the evacuation procedure in case of nuclear contamination in the country.
Accordingly, the radioactive contamination source will be kept in a protective container and removed to a safe place.
Monitoring will be carried out to determine the contaminated area.
The radioactive contaminated area will be enclosed, and the population will be evacuated.
The contaminated areas will be deactivated, and public order will be maintained in those areas to prevent looting.
And the staff will undergo dosimetric control, and treatment will be administered to those contaminated with radiation.
