YEREVAN. - The projects of two large wind plants in Armenia haven’t been withdrawn from the agenda.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Hayk Harutyunyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

The investors still continue studying the possibility of constructing the station in Karakhach town of Armenia’s Shirak province, between Javakhk and Gogarants mountains, and Sotk village in Eastern Sevan mountains of Gegharkunik province.

Ar Energy company plans to construct the first of the two plants, with a perspective capacity of 200-210 mW, through attracting Italian capital.

Griar company is going to equip the second one.

In 2013, the U.S. companies DH Infrastructure and Black & Veatch, assessed the capacity of Armenia’s wind plants at 275 mW, citing the previous research.
