Russia and Azerbaijan are responsible and reliable partners in military and technical cooperation, Russia Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin said.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed with Rogozin the cooperation between the countries in the sphere of economy and military and technical cooperation, RIA Novosti reports.

“Major result of Baku visit: Parties confirm to be responsible and reliable partners in a sensitive area such as military-technical cooperation,” Rogizin wrote on his Twitter page. 

During the meeting, Aliyev noted the successful cooperation of the countries in many spheres. The President also mentioned the increased role of Azerbaijan in supplying products to Russia. However, according to Aliyev, Azerbaijan is interested in taking the first place among the importers.

For his part, Rogozin noted the successful work of the country’s intergovernmental commission.
