YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Heritage Party doesn’t see any need for uniting round the Armenian National Congress (ANC) platform over the Electoral Code.

Deputy Chairman of Heritage, Armen Martirosyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

“We have neither any need nor wish to do that. We can carry out joint actions, which can be discussed,” Martirosyan said, insisting that they have no such decision.

To the question on why they don’t find it necessary to unite, especially given that the new draft Electoral Code has been promulgated and the opposition says its proposals haven’t been considered, Martirosyan said: “Heritage Party has introduced its approaches, but the rest is subject to discussion.”

According to him, Heritage will be active in relations exclusively with international partners.

“We don’t consider it necessary to discuss anything with the authorities. If there is an opportunity to demand changes under the pressure of the people, we will support this. But there is no such possibility at the moment. The people are in apathy and don’t want to struggle. [Thus,] the only thing left is the work with  international partners,” Martirosyan said.
