YEREVAN. - The submitted draft Electoral Code first of all raises concerns about the safety guarantees of electronic registration.  

Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Mikayel Melkumyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

He also noted that PAP hasn’t yet completed the discussion regarding the new Electoral Code.

“Who can give a guarantee on software, that is guarantee that there will be no interference?  I don’t see this guarantee in the submitted draft. It only mentions e-registration, but there is no mention of e-voting. This should be found out, there is an issue here,” Melkumyan said.

In his words, there is a controversy between the proportional system registered by the Constitution and proportional rating system presented through the new draft Electoral Code.

He reiterated that the PAP faction will present its position regarding the given draft a little later.
