YEREVAN. – Maintaining the natural gas price at $165 is an agenda item of the negotiations with Russia.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharyan, told the abovementioned to reporters, after Thursday’s Cabinet session.

To the question on whether the gas price can reduce on a regular basis, Kocharyan responded: “This already is a matter for the upcoming talks.” 

And reflecting on the Armenia-Russia meeting, the Armenian deputy FM noted that any such talks yield some results

As reported earlier, Russia will extend the lower natural gas price—$165, instead of $189, per 1,000 cubic meters—for Armenia, until the end of March.

This decision is adopted to compensate for the losses of Gazprom Armenia, and to maintain the Russian gas prices in the country at the previous level.
