YEREVAN. – According to official data, in February, the prices of consumer goods in Armenia have dropped by an average of 3.9 percent, on an annual basis, whereas the prices of services in the country have increased by 3.4 percent.
In January, retail trade in Armenia reduced by more than 8.3 percent, on an annual basis. The reason is known to everyone; the remittances being sent to the country have considerably reduced.
The surprising thing, however, is that the services’ turnover increased by 6.4 percent, in the same month.
