YEREVAN. - I have reservations concerning the electronic voting system, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Armen Avetisyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent today.
“I don’t think that our villagers and citizens will be able to study all this in a year to a degree so as not to make a wrong choice. Let’s speak according to facts: We have rural communities and illiterate population. Finally, we know in which country we live and I see this technical problem,” Avetisyan noted.
According to the MP, there is enough time to take measures on informing the population, but he can’t imagine the mechanism of implementing that process.
“I can’t imagine how the process of informing will be carried out, for instance, for those villagers, who have little information on all this so that they can vote correctly,” he said.
