Australian Ambassador to Turkey, James Larsen, was on the Ankara street where there was an explosion on Sunday evening.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop informed about the aforesaid, according to Sydney Morning Herald.

Bishop added that the Australian ambassador was in a car at an intersection 20 meters from where the bomb was detonated.

Also, the Australian FM noted that even though the bomb attack had occurred in the diplomatic district of the Turkish capital city, it was directed against the Turkish military, and Larsen’s presence there was coincidental.

A car, which was loaded with a bomb, crashed with a bus in Ankara.

The blast killed 34 people and injured 125 others.
