YEREVAN. - Nobody has the right to scornfully speak of the Armenian Government.
PM Hovik Abrahamyan told the aforesaid to the journalists in the parliament today, referring to the opinion that the Armenian Government wasn’t able to solve the issue of gas talks with Russia on its own, and President Sargsyan thus took it up at the meeting with Russian President Putin.
“Nobody has the right to assess the Government. We are one team and we work for our Government and people. If the President helps us in the talks, this doesn’t mean at all that the Government is untalented. The Government works and will work very well”, the PM said.
The gas price was temporarily reduced to compensate Gazprom Armenia’s losses due to the Armenian drop of Armenian dram by the end of 2014, as well as to maintain the tariffs for consumers at the previous level. The Armenian side is holding talks with the Russian side over long-term reduction of the price.
