YEREVAN. – Armenia will receive low-priced vaccines from France, after 2018, too.

The aforesaid is noted in Armenia’s 2016-2020 immunoprevention strategy, which was approved at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

The respective purchases are planned to be continued in accordance with the national immunization calendar, and polyvalent vaccines will be purchased as well.

In addition, and starting from 2018, the 5-valent vaccines will be replaced by the 6-valent vaccines, which will include the anti-Polio component.

Ever since 2008, there is a steady increase in vaccination coverage in Armenia.

In 2014, a total of 92 percent of the one-year-old children in the country had received all necessary vaccinations; in 2008, this indicator was 86 percent.
