YEREVAN. – Urban planning oversight in Armenia shall comply with international standards. 

The Minister of Urban Development, Narek Sargsyan, noted the abovementioned at Thursday’s working meeting devoted to the international track-record of urban planning oversight.

The Ministry of Urban Development informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, during the talk, the minister’s adviser briefed the specialists of this domain on the respective practices in the US as well as the urban planning oversight being conducted in Iran.

As a result of the discussion, Sargsyan proposed the specialists of the Urban Planning Inspectorate of the Ministry to submit a reference-substantiation toward bringing Armenia’s urban planning oversight in line with international standards.
