YEREVAN. – A photo exhibition, entitled “The City and the Environment,” opened in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The event is organized by the French Embassy, and within the framework of the International Francophonie Day, which is observed on March 20.

Sixteen photographs of the French cities of Lyon, Nice, Marseille, and Paris are included in the exhibition, which presents the “smart” city format with comfortable, green, and innovative approaches.

In addition, a film was shown, in which Yerevan was presented in 3D format.

Also, the “Crystal City” scale model of Yerevan is presented as a separate exposition.

The official opening of the event brought together Yerevan Municipality officials, ambassadors, and several other guests.

In his remarks, French Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier noted that, during these annual events, they endeavor to present projects that may be of interest to Yerevan and enable to expand the domains of cooperation.
