YEREVAN. - The Association of International Road Carriers of Armenia (AIRCA) is going to find out whether the trucks from Armenia should pay road charge in Russia, AIRCA President Herbert Hambardzumyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In February 2016, the Russian Government made a negative decision on cancelling the transportation tax. The Russian Government proposed to deduce the amount of harm to federal highways from the transportation tax for vehicles with over 12 tons of permitted weight.

According to the information of AIRCA, the Armenian Ministry of Transport has turned to its Russian colleagues with the request to clarify whether the Armenian freight transport must pay the aforementioned tax.  

The road charge on Vladikavkaz – Moscow – Vladikavkaz route - the main one for Armenian trucks in Russia - is about 4,000 rubles.
